This buddha found itself in the hands of someone in their 8 th decade of life.

It was inspiring to to hear how her inner life is so rich and stimulating.

Although as we age the body can slow us down, she was a role model for still maintaining a thirst for learning and continual development.

She chose this Buddha for its earth touching groundedness. And for its connection with transcendental heights. She loved the balance of these two qualities in its small form.

I hope in 20 years time, in my 80’s,  I have the same sparkle of interest in my eyes and thirst for insight that I witnessed in this fine woman when I handed this Buddha on.
